Shane was raised in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Michigan. After his time at U of M, Shane spent time working in the insurance industry before attending law school at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
In his free time, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife Kendra, watching U of M and Detroit sports, and playing his drums.
Shane’s areas of practice include estate planning, real estate law, family law, criminal law, and landlord/tenant law.
Shane has become an integral part of our team at Apple Street Law Office, P.L.C. and was recently promoted as a Partner to the firm.
Shane was active during his time in law school. He was a teaching assistant for contracts and criminal procedure, Academic Chair for the Student Bar Association Executive Board, Treasurer of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and an Honor Code Student Liaison. Additionally, he was a member of the Law Review Board of Editors, where he served as the Articles Editor. Shane and his teammate were champions in the First Year Moot Court Competition, and he later served as a judge for the competition. He received the Leadership Achievement Award, the Dawn Beachnau Award, and certificates of merit in 22 classes.
